ANNOUNCEMENT: VCITY WILL TURN GREY on 17 April 2015

I know VCity and Voyeurclouds are a safe-harbor from all kind of "real world" issues. However I am not blind and neither are you.

Therefore: On April 17th 2015 between 4am EDT and 8 am EDT VCity will not allow any posting and (try to) turn all it's logos grey. The reason is the tragical end of the Germanwings flight 4U9525 caused by a psycho pilot and the national German and Spanish ceremonies during those hours to remember the 149 victims of the flight.

I really hope you agree with my decision. I think it is not fair to continue "business as usual" while two entire countries (and we have quite many users and members from those countries) pay respect nationwide to the innocent passengers of that flight and remember the victims.

Very much agree with what your doing Igor, it's a good thing. I copied your last statement as a highlight to what the knee jerk reaction of big government will do. Any excuse to control every aspect of a free thinking people will be in play. Make no mistake on that.

Our prayers for the families that had there loved ones snuffed out by a mad man.

fantastic idea and supported full by me!! bless the souls of all those lost and the families of all affected by this terrible tragedy ...my sympathies !! and please try and spare the family of the pilot and find a small piece to comfort them in the guilt they now must have to bear!! killing all those innocent people and destroying a lot of famiies lives was bad very very bad but to burden his family with shame and guilt is awful also !! we need to find a way to include them in our sorrow also !!

I don't know..whenever I think about this whole thing I feel like I have to throw up. For about 15 years I crossed the atlantic almost every week onboard a Lufthansa flight. I know dozens of their pilots personally, I had endless discussions with them since the crash. There is no real logical answer to all that shit and I tend to conclude the reason as a "human tsunami". However the problems that FO Andreas L left behind are mind wrecking. Cockpit crews (no matter which airline) started not to trust each other any longer. Further: Think about the captain who was locked out..about his last minutes. Just try to imagine what he felt and you won't be able to sleep for quite many nights. Or all those frequent flyers who are usually seated in the first 5 rows by Germanwings and are watching a captain trying to break a bullet-proof cockpit door while they see the mountains getting closer and closer. On the other hand: The First Officer was a psycho, that's for sure. Does that mean, that every crew member has to open his very private details to the airlines from now on? What about truck drivers who drive around 10.000 gallons of explosive gasoline. They can cause more harm! Even a freaking bus driver can kill more than 149 people. I don't know....when the human brain of a "normal " person starts to become a "terrorist" then there is no "homeland security" unless you want the brains of all human beings being hard-wired with a "big brother observation comp".
